Post 0: Welcome!

Hello, reader! I hope this blog post finds you well. Towards the end of last year, my friend Krisi and I decided to both create blogs, and I would like to uphold my end of that agreement. I had realized that, now that I am no longer a student, I don’t write as much as I would like to. (Does anyone?) I hope that this site will motivate me to write more.

I’m still trying to figure out what kind of style I would like to write in. Some posts will probably be more “academic” than others, but they will generally all be centered around science history, the cult of natural history, and hyperreality. I also like poetry and bluegrass music, so that might figure into the content, too.

I’ve been hesitant to post what I have already written. But I understand that nothing is ever perfect, and no thought or idea is ever truly finished, so screw it! Plus, I’ve been using WordPress for my job, so I want to put these fake coding skills to use. Yay! Onward!
